The dead end of public English education in Japan

According to the presenter, Dan Frost, Japan's public education system for English as a foreign language is driving down a dead end road.

Part 1 will show the significant number of verifiable errors in the grammar and lexis of many English textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education. These errors can be linked to the false assumption that Japanese cannot learn English except through translation. This assumption is an albatross around the neck of the Japanese people.

Part II will show some initial ideas for teaching English at the junior high school level, which aim to throw off the albatross, and allow learners to begin to use and learn English more freely.
