Listening (Seminar for Japanese Teachers of English at Jr & Sr. High Schools)

Monday, February 10th, 2003, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Speaker: British Council

What are the problems in listening for our students? We will explore these issues and look at ways teachers can support students in listening through different activity types. We will also look at ways to exploit listening texts in course books so that the actual skill of listening is being developed rather than just tested. This seminar is part of a series of seminars for Japanese teachers of English at junior and senior high schools offered by The British Council, Osaka. The evening seminars are designed to assist teachers in their day to day teaching and provide practical ideas for adapting communicative methodology to the Japanese junior and senior high school classrooms.
