Twine interactive fiction/essay software

Saturday, February 20th, 2021, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Speaker: Gavin Young

Twine is free, open-source software for telling interactive stories that can directly be published to HTML. Either downloaded or used online, Twine allows students to create interactive texts that can include questions, images, and audio. As a tool to create games, Twine is intuitive for educators and students to learn, and gives educators the opportunity to engage students in active learning and to rethink the way they deliver content and write assignments. A Twine project puts students in situations where they are creating, evaluating and analyzing their creations, all while applying their understanding of language. In this presentation via Zoom, I will show the benefits of using Twine for a variety of activities with language students.
