Elementary & JHS Games, Teaching Writing to Young Learners and Medical Situational role-play

Speaker: Chinny Mbakwe, Andy Baysa and Michael Ciantar

ETJ Tokyo will host its 3rd meeting of the year on Sunday July 7th.

  • Are you looking for fresh games to be used with your Elementary and JHS students? Then look no further--come join Chinny Mbakwe for a hands-on and high energy presentation on making learning fun in large classes!
  • The second presentation will be led by Andy Baysa and will cover how to teach writing to young learners. Do you teach young learners and wonder how to get them to the next step and actually writing? Wondering where to start? You won't want to miss this informative and interactive presentation by Andy!
  • The final presentation will be by Michael Ciantar. He will focus on role-play for medical situation. In particular for ENT students and nurses. Come and learn how to teach these types of students with real-life situational role-play.

Chinny Mbakwe is originally from Nigeria and first worked for her embassy for a decade in Tokyo. For the last 4 years she has worked as an ALT in both elementary and JHS and as a private teacher.

Andy Baysa has been teaching English for 7 years ranging from high school to kindergarten. Currently she leads the foreign teachers' department at an international school in Chiba. Her presentation will focus on teaching writing to young learners.

Michael Ciantar has been teaching in elementary and secondary schools for 4 years. In addition, he has taught many private students ranging from young learners to medical staff.
