Sunday, January 13th, 2019, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Speaker: (1) Amy Long; (2) Pieter Van Leuven

ETJ Tokyo is holding its 1st meeting of the year. Start 2019 off with a bang and learn how to get the most out of games/flashcards and music for young learners and elementary.

Amy Long will lead a hands-on discussion of using games and flashcards effectively. She'll demonstrate games and flashcards geared for kindergarten and elementary school students. She will share how to get the most learning out of games and flashcards. Join her for 90 minutes of PLAY!

Pieter Van Leuven will lead us in an interactive workshop that teaches how to create original songs for young learners. Young learners thrive from music and Pieter will show us first-hand how easy it is to develop a song and ways to incorporate more music into your classroom. His 90 minutes will fly by and you'll be sure to be dancing!

Amy Long (with husband Dave) is the owner of Dave and Amy English School in Saitama. She authors the My English Book and Me series and makes the Dave and Amy Games flashcards and games. She has 22 years of experience teaching kids in Japan.

Pieter Van Leuven has decades of experience teaching young learners and publishes his own original music. His presentation will be high energy and full of ideas of how to use music in the classroom! He runs Fun Bridge English in Funabashi.
