Tohoku ELT Expo

Speaker: Speakers from around the nation and from the Sendai/Tohoku region (call for presenters due October 31)

Part of a national series of Expos, the Tohoku ELT Expo is a one day mini-conference offering quality presentations and materials displays for language teachers in any context: college, jr. & sr. high, elementary, kindergarten and private language school. Presentations will be given by speakers from around Japan and the Sendai/Tohoku region. The aim is to provide top-class presentations and publishers' material displays for every kind of English teacher.

Call for Presenters due October 31
A large number of presentations will be given by speakers from around the nation and from the Sendai/Tohoku region. Presentation slots are available, so please jump in and share your teaching ideas or research at any level--children to adult. Sessions are generally 45 minutes (30-40 minute presentation with 5-15 minutes for questions & discussion). Submit your proposal to Ryan Hagglund by October 31, with the following details: a) Presenter name, b) Contact info (w/ cell phone and email address), c) Presentation title, d) Presentation outline (max 50 words), e) Presenter bio (max 30 words), f) Language of presentation (English/Japanese), g) Equipment needed (LCD projector, CD player), h) Target audience (elementary school, university, etc.), i) Topic area (reading, testing, speaking, etc.) Please see the Expo Presenters page for further details.

Organization: Sendai Chapter of the Japan Association for Language Teaching (Sendai JALT)

Cost: JALT Members: 500 yen (for JALT and ETJ members)
Non-members: 1000 yen
