Oxford Day 2015: Forum on globalization and education

As Japan continues to position itself on the global stage, discussions around English education have expanded and a variety of measures have been introduced to reform the education system. With these changes comes a mix of expectations as well as challenges. Questions arise around what it means to develop a global mindset and foster citizens to participate on a global level. Oxford University Press, which is committed to excellence in research, scholarship and education through its publishing, is hosting a one-day event consisting of presentations and panel discussions by local and international authors and experts to address some of these issues. The topics discussed will explore current issues surrounding the future of English education in Japan.
