With the cooperation of JALT's Materials Writers SIG, Nara JALT is proud to present this wonderfully practical doubleheader-event to kick off the academic year. Cameron Romney, a Featured Speaker at JALT 2015, will be talking about ways to write supplements that go with commercial textbooks. To follow, John Campbell-Larsen will be talking about how to use materials to stimulate speaking.
Presentation 1: Creating Supplements that Increase Opportunities for Spoken Interaction Speaker
Cameron Romney (Sangyo University)
Cameron Romney has taught ESL/EFL in both the United States and Japan for the last 15 years. He holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Colorado at Denver. In 2015, he was employed as a Foreign Language Contract Lecturer at Kyoto Sangyo University in Kyoto, Japan.

John Campbell-Larsen (Kyoto Women's University)
John Campbell-Larsen is associate professor of English at Kyoto Women's University. He received his master's degree in TESOL from Birmingham University and his research interests include Conversation Analysis, Pragmatics and teaching the spoken language.
