What has surprised and Struck Me in Japan, and Experiences in India

Speaker: Daniel Dattilio

While living in India over two and half years, the speaker had experiences, good or almost traumatic, but all of which were unforgettable. He takes experiencing different cultures as a key to avoiding misunderstanding and dispute between countries. Drawing on his most unexpected experiences in India and Japan, he will discuss in both English and Japanese how such experiences can play a greater role in promoting cultural understanding.
About the speaker: Dittilio Daniel majored in anthropology at Carleton College and history in graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Madisona and is currently working as CIR at Suwa chiho jimusho.
