What is neuroELT? This is a new interdisciplinary field within Applied Linguistics (and Educational Neuroscience) that connects neuroscience, psychology, and second language teaching. The foundation of our research is heavily based on the Mind, Brain, and Education program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and the brilliant work of countless others in the field of Educational Neuroscience. However, although there is significant overlap with general Education principles, neuroELT is keenly focused on language teaching and second/foreign language acquisition, especially in Asia.
