Meisei University Extensive Reading and Listening Forum

Meisei University will host their inaugural forum on Extensive Reading (ER) and Extensive Listening (EL). Meisei University is located just 40 minutes by train from Shinjuku Station, Tokyo. The morning will consist of a general overview of ER in the plenary presentation, followed by an outline of the successful ER programmes currently being carried out at the universities of the key speakers. Key speakers will also introduce innovative resources and relevant technological tools that can be used to support ER programmes.

Call for papers due January 29th

The afternoon will broaden the theme to include extensive listening. We invite short presentations and attendance by any interested teachers or researchers on both topics -- ER and EL. Afternoon presentations will be 20-30 minutes in length. Submission requirements:

  • Contact details: Name, affiliation, telephone number, email address
  • Presentation title
  • Presentation abstract (100 words)
  • Presentation description (for the forum program): 50 words
  • Desired equipment (PPT projector, laptop etc.)
  • Comments or questions.
