English Drama "Momotaro: Peach Boy"

By experiencing Marbles Original semi-musical "Momotaro", you will discover how kids learn new expressions and vocabulary. The expressions they learned though English plays will never be forgotten, because they are so involved during this activity. Let's have fun making a musical together. You will be inspired!

Masumi is president of The Conservatory English School, Marbles, and teaches at Cecilia Junior High School, "English Express". She is also the director of the Niigata Kids' Musical Project.

Ways of making your lessons great fun!

We teachers also need to enjoy our lessons with students. Yoko will share effective ideas for fun activities and engaging ways to teach English to pre-school and elementary school children. She will also introduce many interesting books and materials to make Halloween lessons enjoyable.

Yoko has been teaching English for about 25 years. She teaches from mother and baby classes to high school students at her own school and preschool.

Miori Shimada 12.05 - 12.55
Song Creation with Familiar Tunes for Young Learners' EFL Classrooms?

Miori will discuss how to create effective songs for children's EFL classrooms using familiar melodies. She will then introduce simple question songs and picture books using those melodies. Finally, you will have some time to create easy songs for your own classroom.

Miori Shimada has been teaching English to different groups of learners at various institutions for fifteen years. Currently she teaches at universities in Kanto. She is interested in teacher education.
