This research represents a year-long longitudinal study into the effects of communication strategy instruction on Japanese EFL learners' linguistic proficiency. The paper replicates research carried out by Nakatani (2005) and aims to equip learners with the linguistic and problem-solving skills to overcome linguistic barriers. The findings indicate clearly that influence of prominent socio-cultural factors have to be considered in order to maximize the full effectiveness of CS strategy use.
In recent years, primary, secondary and higher education have taken advantage of WebQuest software. From beginner levels of e-learning, teachers can incorporate it across the curriculum, including the English Second Language (ESL) classroom. In addition, learning theories associated with facilitating Web 2.0 in ESL will be addressed in this presentation.
