This presentation is based in part on articles lesson plans which appeared in Recipes for Wired Teachers: Practical Ideas by Teachers for Teachers, published by the CALL SIG. The four areas explored are (a) utilizing global "live" webcams in the language classroom, (b) using Panoramic 3D Images: free, easy to use "Livepicture" software, (c) discovering Internet Relay Chat: analyzing authentic texts, and (d) easy to use, free video conferencing: "Microsoft Netmeeting" used by an EFL learner.Please note that even teachers who do not currently have or use a computer will benefit from the discussion of teaching methodology and exchange of ideas.
