5 day TESOL-Young learner course.

The 120 hr TEYL Certificate is designed for teachers who want to have a specialty in teaching English to children. The TEYL Certificate course aims at providing aspring teachers and practicing General English teachers with the necessary skills, confidence and ability to be able to teach Young Learners effectively; supplementing your existing knowledge about teaching. Over the week, you will gain a basic foundation from which to start a career in teaching English to children. The course is suitable for native and non-native speakers of English. The course introduces a specific method of lesson planning used for young learners. We will look at the characteristics of young learners, classroom management, and multiple intelligences and how they relate to teaching children, as well as experiencing and examining lessons for different age groups ranging from under 5s to 7 year-olds. Optional information is also available for teaching older students. You will also experience a range of different activities you can use in your lessons. You will complete a project, writing a plan for a week-long unit and specific lesson plans for an age group of your choice. Assignments and post course written assignment will be required to complete the 120hr certificate.
