Workshop: The comprehension hypothesis extended

Speaker: Stephen D. Krashen, University of Southern California

The talk will cover the implications of the comprehension hypothesis for language acquisition, and literacy development in general, and also other areas, including animal language (some interesting recent progress) and even conjectures about what we might expect from visitors from other worlds (some people think they are here already).

The value of a hypothesis is that it explains phenomena beyond those it was originally designed to explain. I think this is the case here.
