Critical Thinking Mini Conference

Speaker: David Gann, Jennie Roloff, Hugh Graham-Marr

On May 15th, the Criticial Thinking SIG and Yokohama JALT will co-host an event on critical thinking. We have three presenters. The first is David Gann who will present on his experiences of teaching critical thinking in an ESL setting. The second presenter, Jennie Roloff, will present on a university course that focuses on aiding greater awareness of global politics and what it is to be a global citizen. Lastly, Hugh Graham-Marr will present on using the text, Fiction in Action: Whodunit, as a means to developing critical thinking skills.

Venue: Yokohama City University. Kanazawa-Hakkei Campus, 22-2 Seto, Kanazawa-ku, 236-0027, map, a 5 minute walk from Kanazawa-Hakkei station (Keikyu Line) After exiting the station, turn left and head through the pedestrian tunnel under the train tracks. By following that path you will (3-6 minutes) pass directly in front of the campus gates. The event is being held in Room 201 in the Honkousha building.
