In this 6-hour Power Seminars event, Peter Warner will explain and demonstrate effective ways to teach vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension. He will demonstrate and share practical exercises taken from his own coordinated systematic curriculum to illustrate those fundamentals that should be a part of any English as a Foreign Language (EFL) curriculum. The material and activities covered in this workshop are designed for children and teenagers in small classes, but the principles at work in them apply to EFL students of all ages. Topics addressed include:
What is language?
How do our students gain vocabulary?
How do our students develop ability with grammar?
What is comprehension, and how can our students gain it?
What is active learning?
What is active teaching?
The topics covered in this workshop are relevant to teachers, administrators, curriculum designers, and of course to the students and their parents..
