Songs and Games that Work for Children!

Saturday, December 1st, 2001, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Speaker: Katherine Mackay, Longman ELT, Pearson Education Japan

As English is introduced into the public Elementary schools in 2002, many children's teachers and parents face a new challenge of teaching English to their children? How can we meet this challenge? How can we help make our children's English experience successful and fun?
In this practical workshop we will look at the different types of learning styles of children and explore ways to use a cross-section of materials to motivate children in learning English. A variety of interactive listening and speaking activities, games, and songs will be drawn from course books, storybooks, videos, songs, flashcards and children's dictionaries. Discover ways to make learning English fun, dynamic and meaningful.
Note: There are two presentations this day at Jelly Beans Educational. The other presentation (also 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) is Motivating Learners of English of all Ages.
