Sunday, September 28th, 2008, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Speaker: Theron Muller, Megumi Netsu
Theron Muller and Megumi Netsu from Noah Learning Center will be holding an introduction to the Cambridge exams on September 28th from 1pm to 2:30pm at the Monzen Plaza international exchange corner in downtown Nagano. Monzen Plaza is on the third floor of the building that houses the Tomato supermarket, in the former Daiei building. Seating is limited, so please RSVP with Theron at theron@noahlc.jp
We 'll be concentrating on explaining the different suites of exams, including the YLE, KET, PET, and FCE exams, with emphasis on explaining how they are different from (and an improvement on) exams which are already popular in Japan, such as the Eiken and TOEIC exams. We 'll also offer counseling about which exam may be right for attendees or attendees ' students. The session will be in English and Japanese.
Cambridge exams include a suite for kids (the YLE) and exams for adults interested in studying abroad in the UK or in getting an idea of their communicative abilities. The exams are divided into three levels for both children and adults. The children 's exams include Starter, Movers, and Flyers, and the adult exams include the KET, PET, and FCE exams. All of the Cambridge exams include a spoken section, allowing examinees to check not just their listening and reading skills, but also their speaking abilities.
Costs of attendance is free, but seating is limited, so please RSVP with Theron at theron@noahlc.jp.
