Reasons Why Experienced EFL Teachers Stay Positive and Motivated

EFL teaching is, according to some people, a marginal profession, with no clear career progression or much material reward. In such circumstances it can be difficult to remain upbeat and motivated about one's work, and many teachers do leave after a relatively short time. But many others remain committed and enthusiastic when a more obvious response would be to be cynical and detached. This workshop will examine reasons for this commitment and discuss how it is possible for participants to retain (or regain) their enthusiasm in the long term.
