1:00 Doors open, registration
1:20 - 1:30 Welcome and introduction - Terry Yearley
1:30 - 2:30 Teaching English to Japanese Junior High School students through the learning of American culture - Aki Sato. Ms Sato will introduce some practical classroom activities, which aim to develop all 4 language skills. Topics from American JHS life will be used, such as school lunch, and dress codes. Ms Sato gained her MA TESOL from New York University. She is currently teaching part-time at a university in Kanagawa.
2:30 - 2:50 Coffee break
2:50 - 4:50 Spring and Easter Activities - Mayuka Habbick. Ms Habbick will introduce some hands-on activities on the topics of Spring and Easter for teaching children. Ms Habbick is a very popular teacher educator, well known for her enthusing and informative workshops
4:50 Tidy up time
5:00 We must vacate the room by this time.
