18th JALT-Gunma Summer Workshop at Kusatsu
Dates: August 26 (Sat) - 27th (Sun), 2006
Theme: Teaching and Learning of Reading in English as an L2
Main Lecturer: Dr. William Grabe, Professor of English and Chair of the English Department at Northern Arizona University. He received the 2005 AAAL Distinguished Service and Scholarship Award for his research on issues in L2 Reading. He will give two lectures at the 18th JALT-Gunma Kusatsu Summer Workshop. The tentative titles are 1) Research on L2 Reading Instruction: Implication for L2 Teaching and 2) Effective L2 Reading Instruction / From vocabulary to motivation: Building effective L2 reading instruction.
