Saturday, February 4th, 2006, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Speaker: John di Stefano

Learning a language is hard work. Games can help encourage learners to sustain interest and work. Games also provide the language teacher with a context in which the language is useful and meaningful. The speaker will present a rationale for using games in the classroom, offer suggestions for their effective use, and provide examples of different types of language games that those in attendance may fine useful in teir classrooms. The speaker teaches at Tohoku University of Art and Design, and at Johoku High School in Yamagata.
