Speaker: Richard E Goetz
A cross cultural comparison of idealized notions of effective interview behavior portrayed in twenty-six interview manuals from Japan, USA and Germany was conducted. Results showed the differences in interview concept, non-verbal communication instructions and volume. Differences in structural tightness, self-promotion and honesty and questions from the applicants exist. Results and implications are discussed.
