Speaker: Marc Sheffner
Marc Sheffner will describe a three-tiered approach to introducing autonomous language-learning to university English majors. What were the reasons for trying this, how is it implemented, what are some of the difficulties? The presentation will also include the potential of the Internet for web-publishing for students and for communicating with students outside of class.
Raised in France and Britain by his bilingual parents, Marc Sheffner, studied Modern Languages at Oxford University before joining the JET program in 1980. He has taught in Japan at the university level for almost 20 years.
