JALT 2006 Pre-conference Workshop Day

Today is the pre-conference workshop day of the JALT 2006 conference, which will be held November 2nd to November 5th. The pre-conference workshops fall into three categories, detailed below.

Workshop 1: Storytelling technique for language teachers. Charles Kowalski.

Workshop 2: Computer Skills for Novice Users
* Power Point and Open Office: User-Friendly Tools to Enhance Language Teaching. Daniele Allard & Nicolas Gromik.
* Using Word to Create Stylish Handouts. Suzanne Bonn.
* Using Weblogs in Language Learning Classes. Marc Sheffner and Aaron Campbell.

Workshop 3: Computer Skills for Non-Novice Users
* Quick and Easy Ways of Using Corpora as a Teaching Resource. Michael Rundell.
* Power text markup for collaborators & teachers. Paul Beaufait.
* Videoconferencing in Classrooms. Ariel Sorensen.
