Development of Classroom Teaching Skills

Sunday, November 20th, 2005, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Speaker: David Barker

To make sure teachers don't fall into bad teaching habits, this presentation will focus on how teachers can increase their awareness of what they actually do in the classroom. We will focus on specific elements of teaching practice such as

  • lesson planning,
  • use of materials,
  • teacher behavior, and
  • the setting up and monitoring of student activities.
This presentation is aimed at both experienced and new teachers who are concerned about a lack of opportunity for the development of classroom teaching skills in their current environment.
