Returnee children, or Japanese children who have lived abroad and have returned to Japan, can sometimes be a challenge for English teachers due mainly to a lack of resources that can meet returnee children's unique needs. This presentation will describe different types of returnee students, their typical strengths and weaknesses, and strategies and resources to help them maintain and improve their English.
