Brain studies and teaching children

First, the presenter will discuss ten recent findings from brain studies that illuminate how children learn languages. The theories will include the Critical Age Hypothesis, Multisensory Input, Deep Processing, Noticing, and Ahn's Model of Bilingual Acquisition. Second, the participants will be put into groups, and asked to design an English teaching activity that accommodates one or more of these theories.
