Culture in the Classroom (day 1 of 2)

Speaker: Joseph Shaules (Rikkyo University) and Kip Cates (Tottori University)

This weekend workshop will help language educators learn to present intercultural and global issues in the classroom. Saturday's workshop will focus on teaching intercultural communication: learning goals, key concepts, sample activities and teaching materials. Sunday will focus on using global issues in the language classroom, This will include practical advice for topics, materials and teaching techniques. Participants can register for one or both days. The number of participants will be limited, so please register early.
