With the availability of affordable software programs and digital equipment, educators can now create high quality audio and visual recordings to enhance their classroom lessons. The presenter will give an overview of the types of software programs and equipment used to turn written short stories into stimulating multimedia language skills activities for use in the computer or conventional classroom.
About the speaker: Rex Tanimoto has written two storytelling textbooks: The Storyteller (Macmillan LanguageHouse) and Uncle Rex's Storytelling Time (Osaka Kyoiku Tosho). He has also published an interactive CD-ROM, titled Digi Tales I, in association with Osaka Gakuin University's Digital Education Center.
