Teaching English to Children

ETJ-Sendai is the local chapter of ETJ, the group for teachers of young learners (children up through junior high school). All teachers of English, members and non-members, are welcome to attend. This October meeting will follow a similar format to the July meeting, but will include more time for people to discuss ideas and offer extentions or variations of activities presented. October's line up is:

1. Introduction of a local member and her school;
2. Phonic Activities that Work (demonstration & discussion);
3. START: a tool for evaluating our teaching activities (a short presentation);
4. Our Favourite Songs (videos of 3 more songs that are good in the classroom).
