Learner self evaluation video (LSEV) is an effective tool in building conversational fluency (Murphy, 1997; Murphy and Kenny, 1998).In large weekly classes of 40 students, it is difficult to use LSEV. Wanner (1999) extended LSEV to group discussions, group learner self evaluation video (GLSEV), where two or more students discuss. Students follow guidelines similar to CHILDES (MacWhinney, 1995) to transcribe data. These guidelines, as well as necessary equipment, facilities, and class size applications, are discussed.
