Nellie's Seminar Series 2003: Seminar 4

The fourth seminar in Nellie's Seminar Series 2003 will feature three presentations as follows:

  1. Title: Instant Lessons!
    Presenter: Alison Taylor (Longman ELT)
    Target: Teachers of learners of all ages.
    Language: English
    Content: Liven up your English lessons and add some more ideas to your bag of tricks with photocopiable materials from Longman such as Communication Games, Penguin English Photocopiables, Eigo Ohanashi Takarabako and many others.
  2. Title: Making Lessons Fun for Both Students and Teachers
    Presenter: Kozue Sekiguchi (Scholastic)
    Target: Teachers of young learners
    Language: English/Japanese
    Content: Introducing fun and motivating ideas for teaching phonics using the Scholastic Phonics Workbook series and the related Books of Rhymes and Rhythms. The presenter will demonstrate how to make storytelling time fun for both students and teachers.
  3. Title: Fun Activities for Your Classroom
    Presenter: Colin Malaney (Saxoncourt ELT)
    Target: Teachers of young learners
    Language: English
    Content: An activity-based workshop, full of exciting classroom ideas for kindergarten and lower elementary school students. Examples will be taken from FAB Red and Yellow as well as the SPEC series. The presenter will demonstrate tried and tested tasks that focus on song, drama, reading and writing activities.
