This seminar by Nick Ellis concerns second language vocabulary acquisition and instruction. What are the best ways for a second language learner to rapidly acquire vocabulary and to make it stick? What are the best ways for an instructor to help them with this goal? In the first three-hour open session, Ellis will overview educational and psychological evaluations that directly inform these questions.
This seminar is part of TUJ's Distinguished Lecturer Series. Note that each seminar is actually 2 days long, apx. 7 hours per day. The first three hours of each seminar are free and open to the public.
