Two talks today: VoIP TECHNOLOGY Benjamin Kowarsch is an executive director of Cellular Roaming Alliance Pty Ltd, in Melbourne, Australia and Sunrise Telephone Systems Ltd in Tokyo. Benjamin will demonstrate a PC based PBX and VoIP server for voice over IP. Further, he will show actual IP telephones (hardware). He will talk about the state of VoIP technology today, its strengths and weaknesses and emerging trends. Finally, he will give an outlook on how VoIP can be used for international roaming. The audience will have a chance to experience and play with leading edge VoIP technology.
LINKSYS Linksys has become THE leader in sales of wireless, routers, network cards and USB adapters to the Home and Small business user through retail and e-commerce channels. The Linksys representative will do a presentation on their latest and greatest and field your questions related to this technology.
About TPC:
Founded in 1982, TPC is Japan's oldest IBM-standard PC users group. The monthly meetings feature guest speakers, product demonstrations, and free-wheeling exchanges on a variety of computer-related subjects. A question-and-answer period affords a chance to discuss individual computing problems.
