Thursday, May 8th, 2003, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Speaker: Rajiv Trehan

In Japan, the ubiquitous mobile phone has reached proportions equaling browser usage for email and web access. As such, it provides a rich test bed for new technologies in the mobile space. Green-Penguin has developed dynamic content applications for deployment on mobile devices, and at May's meeting Rajiv Trehan, Chief Architect and Lead Developer, will discuss the issues and architecture necessary to providing manageable mobile content. The talk will provide some background to current web technologies, the need for separation of data and content, device considerations, attaining device independence, login processing, payment considerations and tracking of content views on mobile devices.
